Marvila
Marvila is a neighborhood situated between the upscale Parque das Nações area and the historic Alfama district. Marvila retains characteristics of an old industrial and agricultural zone: factories, workers' housing, some nondescript building complexes, and over 500 small vegetable gardens scattered throughout the neighborhood, offering views of some of Lisbon's main road arteries. Marvila's landscape has been evolving due to significant developments, including the largest Municipal Library in Lisbon, the Bela Vista Golf Course, Bela Vista Park – a venue for various outdoor activities, notably the Rock in Rio Lisboa music festival. Lisbon WorkHub – a hub for entrepreneurship and business creativity, and Fábrica de Braço de Prata – a nightlife and cultural activity space located in Jardim do Tabaco by the Tagus River. In Marvila, one can find everything from the most traditional establishments, such as a barbershop and a tailor, to luxury private condominiums with the most modern facilities. Marvila is highly sought after by urban art enthusiasts, as it features some of the city's most beautiful examples of this modern art form. For all these reasons, Marvila is a modern yet traditional neighborhood in the Portuguese capital.

Marvila is administered by the Junta de Freguesia de Marvila.
