Marina da Figueira da Foz lies in the mouth of the river Mondego, about 0.7 miles inside the entrance breakwaters and 2.5 miles south of Cabo Mondego. Floating walkways split the wet area of roughly 50,000 square metres into two docks, with fingers for boats up to 25 metres and a 120 metre alongside quay. Boats enter on a heading of 073 degrees between the outer moles, then keep to the starboard side of the channel.
