Ponte de Sor Aerodrome has the longest runway of any Portuguese aerodrome, 1800 by 30 metres of asphalt on runway 03/21, and it is one of the few cleared for IFR as well as VFR traffic. The Câmara Municipal de Ponte de Sor runs it, night operations are available on prior request to the aerodrome director, and flight instruction activity there is intense.
